A warm flour tortilla filled with grilled and marinated steak, fluffy eggs, 3 cheeses, potatoes and pico de gallo all toasted to perfection. A soft flour tortilla wrapped around warm eggs, melted cheese , hash brown, creamy jalapeno sauce and choice of bacon or sausage grilled to perfection.
I’d eat them every day if it weren’t for the fact that the typical egg , meat, and cheese combo isn’t the healthiest. No, sadly, most breakfast burrito recipes aren’t actually a great way to start your day. All that meat and cheese contains a lot of protein, for sure.
The chain’s sausage was the best breakfast meat, especially because of its low price. Taco Bell also had great hash browns , but its other potatoes were often under-seasoned. The hash brown toasted breakfast burrito with sausage was my favorite item because it was crispy and flavorful.
I put five fast – food chains to the test in order to see who could make the best breakfast burrito : McDonald’s, Wendy’s, Burger King, Chick-fil-A, or Taco Bell. Taco Bell came out on top with its budget-friendly and delicious burritos , while McDonald’s fell short with a small, artificial-tasting, cheese-filled tortilla.
I asked two employees at Taco Bell these questions and found out that yes, it is real cheese, and yes, they do use real eggs (VERY different than many other fast few chains that use egg beaters). The eggs come in a plastic bag, frozen, and are put into hot water for 35-40 minutes to warm them up.

Although this burrito has 800 grams of sodium, it’s a filling, low-calorie option. It ranks at the bottom of our “ healthiest ” list because of its fat and sodium content.
