The best time to visit Puerto Rico is from mid-April to June, right after the busy winter season and just before the rainy summer. Spring weather is also very pleasant, barely escaping the mid-80s on most days .
Spiders – Puerto Rico, like most islands, has it’s share of spiders . The most dangerous you will find is the brown recluse , which is uncommon, but deadly. Other spiders include the very large banana spider , cave spiders , orb weavers and even tarantulas .
Mosquitoes to be specific. Common in high population island areas like Puerto Rico the highest transmission rates occur between and September and November. The island has not experienced a major outbreak since 1998, but you can help your odds by wearing insect-repellant to ward off mosquitoes .
After hearing that, I did a little bit of research and there are actually sharks in Puerto Rico , but there had never been a shark attack on record and you do not see them in the water when you are surfing.
