Bless us, Oh Lord, May all be fed. Loving God, bless all those gathered here today. For food in a world where many walk in hunger; Our dear Heavenly Father, In a world where so many are hungry, Bless us, O God. May this food restore our strength, giving new energy to tired limbs, new thoughts to weary minds.

Patience Prayer Heavenly Father, remove anything in me that will cause me to make rash decisions . Give me the patience to handle big and small decisions in different areas of my life. Fill me with divine strength that I may always follow your leading. May I take the path you are showing me even if it seems long.
The tradition of the Catholic Church highlights four basic elements of Christian prayer: (1) Prayer of Adoration/Blessing, (2) Prayer of Contrition/Repentance, (3) Prayer of Thanksgiving /Gratitude, and (4) Prayer of Supplication/ Petition / Intercession .
The only passage that would come close to indicating this would be Deuteronomy 8:10, “When you have eaten and are satisfied, bless (praise) the Lord your God for the good land He has given you.” In this verse however, it says to bless, “after the meal ” and not before the meal .
Enter into his gates with thanksgiving , and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name. For the Lord is good ; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations. Bless us, oh Lord, and these Thy gifts which we are about to receive from Thy bounty through Christ our Lord.
O Gracious God , we give you thanks for your overflowing generosity to us. Thank you for the blessings of the food we eat and especially for this feast today. Thank you for our home and family and friends, especially for the presence of those gathered here. Thank you for our health, our work, and our play.

Our Father Lord God, Heavenly Father, bless us and these Thy gifts which we receive from Thy bountiful goodness, through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Lutheran (more commonly, the common table prayer ) (before eating) “Come, Lord Jesus, be our Guest, and let Thy/these gifts to us be blessed. Amen.”
There is nothing in the Bible that says to pray before eating , but we do it, as others have written, because we are following Messiah’s example.
Don’t rush through it, but keep it to a few brief sincere sentences, and end it with “amen” or the closing of your choice. A call to grace might look something like this: All present take hands, or bow their heads quietly.
Choose a day, or a specific time during the day that you can sit quietly before God and meditate on Scripture, pray and be still. When you do this, you will see past the noise and hear God’s voice .
Heavenly Father, I am desperate , please hear my prayer . With man, this may be impossible, but with God all things are possible. Please make all my plans succeed, clear away these obstacles and make my path smooth. Thank You for answering all my prayers , and taking action to bring me victory with Your great power.
