If a merchant runs out of an item or can’t accommodate your allergy or other special request, you may receive a notification giving you 10 minutes to update your order before it’s automatically canceled . You will not be charged if the merchant cancels your order .

If you didn’t receive your order and it’s been marked complete by the delivery person in the app, contact your delivery person directly by tapping “Help” on the order screen or “Get Help” on the home screen, then follow the on-screen prompts. UberEats , if they can not find a Driver , will refund your money and tell you that there is no driver’s available to serve your order; the same thing they would do if you were to call for an Uber Ride share service call.
Drivers do not see the tip you leave until after it is delivered. Sometimes it takes hours for the tip to show up. You can always message them or leave it at the door (if cash) .

You can see on your app when the driver has collected your food. If you complain and get a refund , there’s a chance the driver will not be paid.
