Porters do a bit of everything to help keep a business running smoothly. The job is similar to custodians and janitors, but porters usually have extra duties. Their main job is to make sure the building they work in is neat, clean and safe. They’ll spend most days: picking up trash.
There is a huge responsibility involved. As a porter /steward you need to be physically fit, you need to be very organized, you need to be fast and you need to be able to pay attention to a lot of detail. Yes, it is a good job !
